Raising Insight founder and product architect Michiel Westerkamp is an influential authority in the field of constituent relationship management. Michiel brings more than 35 years of experience building Advancement ERP, CRM, and management reporting solutions used by hundreds of institutions ranging from state-wide university systems to highly selective private colleges, medical centers, and other philanthropic organizations.
Drawing upon his advancement experience and his management experience as a business owner and software company executive, Michiel has spent over 10 years working in partnership with a diverse group of institutions to develop and refine a reporting platform that responds to the shared information needs of the most sophisticated fundraising organizations
Donna has over 25 years’ experience working with higher education clients in the area of technology, process, and administrative functions. Donna directed advancement services and operations at Michigan State University and worked with Davenport University’s Institute for Professional Excellence. She was the founding Chairperson for the Advance User Group and later served as VP, Services for SunGard Higher Education (now Ellucian), an international vendor/supplier to Higher Education.
Donna has worked with more than 100 higher education and nonprofit fundraising organizations and is an experienced project manager with specific expertise in the areas of advancement systems, prospect management and advancement analytics. She has provided leadership in national user groups, including presentations for EDUCAUSE and was awarded the distinguished CASE Crystal Apple for outstanding teaching at more than 10 CASE conferences. She is a member of the Association of Advancement Services Professionals (AASP), and serves on the AASP Strategic Partnerships Committee. Donna has an MA in Telecommunications, Information Systems and Technology and BA in Social Science, both from Michigan State University.
